Hylton Castle Visit 2023
To kick off our "Turrets and Tiaras" topic for our summer term, Reception took a visit to Hylton Castle! A real life castle right here in our town of Sunderland. We had a splendid morning at the castle, enjoying exploring the grounds, a tour of the castle, learning a little bit about its history, and a "knight's workshop," where we got a hands-on experience with different parts of a knight's armour and even a shield!
